MyPeruGuide is an online platform that allows trevelers to find information about Peru as well as hundreds of local tour providers and tour packages. Our users and clients are free to open an account with us at no cost. When opening an account and posting a comment, users and clients understand that their comments will be public and read by others. By leaving a comment in our site users and clients allow MyPeruGuide to use this comment as needed at no cost (under no circunstances MyPeruGuide will pay users and clients for the comments or any information posted in this platform.) MyPeruGuide does not assume responsibility for the comments of our users and clients, but it takes the rol of an administrator in which is free to remove any offensive comment as well as to remove a comment that is targeted to affect the reputation of a provider with no proof. Our users and clients obligate themselves to the terms and conditions established in this agreement.
The followingh agreement also applies to our users and/or customers who book a tour package or tour related service
This contract is between My Peru Guide LLC DBA as MyPeruGuide.com and the client. The client is expected to have read and understood our travel policy outlined below. These conditions apply only to services in our program and not to the international and national flights. International and national flights are subject to the conditions imposed by the airlines.
The client declares that he/she understands that MyPeruGuide.com is an intermediary between the tour provider and the client (MyPeruGuide.com is not responsible for the services provided by the locat tour provider.) The client also understands that MyPeruGuide.com charges an administrative fee for the transactions celebrated between the client and the operator. MyPeruGuide.com recibes full paymemts online, sends the money to Peru to pay for the service(s) to be provided while in Peru and keeps this administrative fee to pay for Credit Card fees, bank fees, and other expenses.
In the event that a service is not provided as advertised in this website, MyPeruGuide.com will assist the client to submit a formal complain and open a case at the Consumer Protection local agency.
MyPeruGuide.com acts only as an agent for the client and cannot be held responsible for services provided by airlines, hotels, or any other supplier. MyPeruGuide.com cannot be held liable for any injuries, damages or losses caused to any traveler in connection with terrorist activities, social or labor unrest, mechanical failures, climate conditions, criminal acts or any other condition outside MyPeruGuide.com’s control.
Bookings are accepted on the understanding that clients recognize the possible risks inherent to adventure travel and that they undertake the tours featured in our program at their own will. It is also important to understand that the most meticulously planned arrangements can go wrong. There may be occasions when delays, discomforts or unforeseen circumstances will occur. MyPeruGuide.com cannot accept responsibility for these eventualities.
All prices are in US Dollars, and are subject to change, without notice, due to currency fluctuation, hotel or airline rate changes, or increase in operational costs, until the total amount is received by MyPeruGuide.com. If a traveler is not willing to pay such an increase, all payments made will be refunded according to our Refund and Cancellations policies.
At the time of booking you will be able to pay the total amount due for the tour package or make a deposit and pay the balance before starting the tour package. All packages are subject to price and availability changes. We cannot secure a spot in a tour program until payment is received in full. We accept Paypal and all major credit cards (Amex, Visa, Mastercard, Discover). Please make sure you hire travel insurance to cover unforeseen events.
A security deposit is required to book any tour package offered in this site. Deposits are non-refundable per our Cancellation Terms and Refund Policy. At the time of booking, travelers will opt between making a deposit or paying in full. If making a deposit, travelers will be required to pay the balance no later than 45 days prior to departure date.
If the trip is cancelled by the client and the permit for the trek has been issued, the USD 275.00 security deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Inca Trail permits are issued by a Peruvian government agency. Due to high demand and limited space availability, permits for the Inca Trail have to be purchased months in advance.
In the event that we are not able to secure you a permit and you are not able to start the trek on a different date, the security deposit will be fully reimbursed, less any bank transfer fees. The security deposit becomes non-refundable once the permit has been issued.
In the event you need to change your travel plans after booking, certain restrictions may apply. Revision, cancellation, and refund policies vary in accordance with the supplier’s policies (hotels, transfers, tickets, etc.) as well as our policies. In addition, we reserve the right to charge USD 50.00 as an administrative fee.
Clients must have travel insurance with a minimum medical, evacuation and repatriation coverage of USD 200,000 covering all applicable dates of travel hired with MyPeruGuide.com. This insurance must cover personal injury and emergency medical expenses. On the first day of each Tour Program, a representative of MyPeruGuide.com will verify that clients have sufficient insurance in place. You should extend coverage to include cancellation, curtailment, and all other expenses that may arise as a result of loss, damage, injury, delay or inconvenience while traveling. You acknowledge that insurance coverage is not included in the cost of the Tour Program provided to you as a client and coverage is paid by you as a client. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have sufficient coverage and comply with the terms of the applicable insurance plans. You are responsible for advising your insurer of the type of travel, destination(s) and activities included in your booking so that the insurer may provide appropriate coverage.
A valid passport will be required for booking the Inca Trail. For student discounts, a valid ISIC is also required. If a valid ISIC is not provided at the time of booking, we will process your booking at regular rates. You MUST bring your valid passport and ISIC with you to the trek.
Your passport also needs to be valid at least 6 months after your trip return date. A valid passport is required for travel in the country of destination.
The airfare for all packages including airfare may not be guaranteed with regard to price or availability until paid in full. Schedule, flights and fares are based on current rates at time of ticketing. These may change without notice. Every effort will be made to obtain the best fares and schedule available. Once a flight is booked, the price of it will need to be paid in full immediately. No refunds are available in case of cancellations.
Prices do not include gratuities, insurance, airport taxes and passport or visa fees. Nor do they include telephone calls, other personal or incidental items or any other features not listed.
Please confirm flights with the airline prior to departure. For domestic flights, 24 hours is recommended. For international flights, 72 hours is mandatory. Check-in Requirements: It is important to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure for all domestic flights and 3 hours prior to departure for international flights. LAN Peru accepts check-ins online (www.lan.com).
Travel documents will be emailed to you two to three weeks prior to departure. Please check your documents when you receive them. Lost, stolen or destroyed tickets or vouchers cannot be replaced or refunded. Important: Bring with you all documents provided by MyPeruGuide.com.
We will try our best to book the hotels that we advertise on our itineraries and website; however, during the peak seasons we may be forced to offer substitutes. In this event, we will provide a few choices and the client will have the opportunity to choose any of those or cancel his/her booking within one week of our notice.
In the event you need to change your travel plans after booking your accommodation in Peru, certain restrictions may apply. Revision, cancellation, and refund policies vary in accordance with the hotel or hostel supplier’s policies (Please ask for further details). The majority of hotels and hostels in Peru do not accept cancellations 30 days prior to check-in date. If a hotel or hostel does not accept cancellations, a refund of the amount paid won’t be issued.
Vaccinations may also be required, especially if traveling to rural areas or the Amazon region. Please check with your local Center for Disease Control and Prevention. It is the sole responsibility of the traveler to make sure that he/she complies with all passport, visa and vaccination requirements. Latika Adventures INC assumes no responsibility if a client is refused boarding of a plane or entry into a country.
MyPeruGuide.com is not liable whatsoever for any claim arising out of or in connection with these packages, nor is it liable for loss of or damage or injury to property, or injury or death to person caused by reason of any defect, negligence or other wrongful act or omission by any transportation company, hotel, agency or any other cause beyond its reasonable control.
Should the client have a complaint about any of the tour arrangements, it is a condition of the contract that you tell our local representative at the time. Failure to register a complaint at that time will deny us the opportunity to investigate and rectify the problem and thus prevent GoTrekPeru.com from accepting any form of responsibility. If the client has a dispute with GoTrekPeru.com which we are unable to resolve at that time, please write to us within 30 days of your return and we will investigate further.
Damages to our equipment and associated fees will be determined by MyPeruGuide.com staff on all equipment. Damages may include: lost, bent or broken poles, sleeping bags, backpacks. Damage Fees: Hiking Poles $50.00 per pole.
You may cancel your booking at any time by notifying MyPeruGuide.com; however, cancellation fees will apply based on the date on which notice of cancellation is received by MyPeruGuide.com. Cancellation fees are expressed as an amount or percentage of the total price paid for the cancelled Tour, product, or service (excluding any insurance products).
(a) Cancellation notice received 60 days or more before departure date of tour will result in the loss of USD 250.00 per traveler for tours over USD 450.00, and USD 125.00 per traveler for tours below USD 450.00. The remainder of the payments made to MyPeruGuide.com in respect of the cancelled product will be refunded (bank fees charged as a consequence of the refund will be paid by the client and deducted from the total amount to be refunded).
(b) Cancellation notice received 59-30 days before departure date of tour will result in the loss of an amount equal to 50% of the total amount paid to MyPeruGuidecom in respect of the cancelled tour. The remainder of the payments made to MyPeruGuide.com in respect of the cancelled product will be refunded (bank fees charged as a consequence of the refund will be paid by the client and deducted from the total amount to be refunded).
(c) Cancellation notice received less than 30 days before departure date of tour will result in the loss of the amount paid to MyPeruGuide.com in respect of the cancelled tour. This specific scenario will be assessed on an individual basis, and a refund no higher than 25% of the total amount paid may be granted or refunded (bank fees charged as a consequence of the refund will be paid by the client and deducted from the total amount to be refunded).
