Location: Imata town, District of San Antonio de Chuca, Province of Caylloma, Region of Arequipa

Distance from Arequipa Downtown: 150 kilometers - 2 hours and 45 minutes by private transportation

• This natural attraction is located right next to the road that connects the cities of Arequipa and Juliaca or Puno. This area is filled with rock formations and it is a great spot for rock climbers.
• The waterfall of Pillones is located only a few kilometers away.
• This is a volcanic area; therefore, there are also a few natural thermal pools to relax.
• The ancient cave paintings of Sumbay are also located in the area.
• In one full day, travelers could visit the stone forest, the Sumbay caves, the thermal pools, and the waterfall of Pillones. If you would like to visit all these sites, you should be in good physical shape and used to the high altitude of these attractions. 

• Travelers must bring a good sun screen, sun glasses, and adequate clothing for cold temperatures. During the day is usually very sunny, windy and cool. After 15:00 hours temperatures start going down drastically (nights are always below freezing conditions).
