Location: Corner of  Petit Thouars Ave. and  Jiron Madre de Dios (Lima Downtown), District of Lima, Lima Province and Region.

Distance from Lima Downtown: 3.6 kilometers - 15 minutes by private transportation.

• 1 hour is usually needed to visit the park.
• The park was built in commemoration of the reservists who settled here to defend Lima  from  the  Chilean Army  during the  War  of  the  Pacific (1878-1879).
• The Park of the Reserve has beautiful gardens, fountains, arches, and space to relax. The park was neglected beginning in 1960 and then restored in 2006. (Several new fountains were opened to the public, offering a nice show.) The Water Park is close by and it opens at 15:00 hours, and it has a cost (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays).
• The park is a nice place to relax in an outdoor area in the middle of the city, to enjoy its architecture, and at night to observe a fountain show. This is one of the most beautiful parks in Peru.
• The MALI (Museum of Art of Lima) as well as the Magic Circuit of Water are located inside the Park.
