Location: Plaza de las Nazarenas 231, District, Province, and Region of Cusco Distance from Cusco.

• Originally the place where the Museum is located belonged to the royal lineage of Tupac Inca Yupanqui (son of Inca Pachacutec).With the arrival of the Spaniards, a Colonial- style house was built and the name of Casa Concha was given to it (named a ter don Jose de Santiago Concha y Salvatierra, who was a member of the Colonial Audience of Lima). Nowadays the beautifully restored house exhibits the largest collection of objects found in Machu Picchu.
• In November 20l0, Yale University returned 366 artifacts collected by Hiram Bingham in Machu Picchu from his exploration of the citadel in 1911 . These artifacts are exhibited among 70 galleries in the Machu Picchu Museum. The Museum also exhibits Incan objects found in the terrain covered by the Casa Concha, as well as photographs token by renowned Peruvian photographer  Martin Chambi,among others.
• A visit to this museum is highly recommended, a must-see for all lovers of history and anthropology.
