During "La Guerra del Pacifico" (War of the Pacific) in 1878, the Government Palace was sacked by the Chilean Army.
Location: Main Square of Lima (Lima Downtown), District of Lima, Lima Province and Region
Building Time Period & Architectural Style: Construction started in 1921 and ended in 1938. The Government Palace has Neo-Colonial and Neo-Baroque styles (right side of the building looking from the mainsquare and the front side, respectively)

The MALI (Museum of Art of Lima) is located inside the Park as well as the Magic Circuit of Water.
Location: Corner of Petit Thouars Ave. and Jiron Madre de Dios (Lima Downtown), District of Lima, Lima Province and Region.
Building Time Period & Architectural Style: The construction of the Park started in 1926, and it was inaugurated in 1929. It has a Neo-classic style.
