Location: The majority of lines are located in the Districts of Nasca and El Ingenio in the Province of Nasca. Some lines were also made in the Province of Palpa.

Distance from Lima Downtown: 423 kilometers - 5 hours and 30 minutes by private transportation.

Distance from lca Downtown: 116 kilometers - l hour and 35 minutes by private transportation.

• The Nasca Lines were added to the World Heritage List of the UNESCO in 1994.
• Travelers can only take a fight to view the most popular Nasca Lines from above or visit the tower located on the Panamerica Sur Highway to observe a couple of the Nasca Lines.
• When booking a flight, the traveler should keep in mind that cheap is usually an indication of safety issues. Book your flight carefully with a company with a clean record of aviation accidents.
• The planes used to overfly the Nasca Lines are small Cesna planes. Avoid drinking and eating before flying, and take motion sickness pills if motion sickness is an issue for you.
• The majority of tour operators offer a 3 day tour which includes a visit to the Ballestas Islands located in Paracas, the Huacachina Oasis in Ica and the Nasca Lines in Nazca.
