The City of Cusco receives more non-Spanish-speaking foreign travelers than any other city in Peru. Sorne of these travelers arrive in Cusco with the goal of learning and even becoming fluent in Spanish. In order to help visitors reach this goal, Cusco offers awide variety of options and programs. Sorne Spanish classes are combined with local outdoor activities every weekend while others combine learning with teaching English to young kids. The options in Cusco are multiple, but not all of them will be able to meet your particular needs.

When choosing a Spanish school, it is important to research about their programs (what will belearned, in what period of time, schedule of classes, extra activities arranged by the school with a guide at a low cost, etc.) and the certifications of the school and, more importantly, the teacher teaching you. It is a plus to verify if the school is certified by the Peruviangovernment, but this shouldn't be your priority when looking for a teacher since the feedback of fellow travelers is more important.
